We will only use your photos to generate feedback and rankings as part of our website’s core functionality. Your photos will not be used for advertising, promotional, or other purposes without your explicit consent.
You acknowledge that your submitted photos are not treated as confidential. While we take reasonable steps to protect your privacy, you understand that the photos may be visible to third-party subcontractors (e.g., Prolific participants).
Separately from your photos, you agree that we may create and use aggregated and de-identified data derived from the rankings and feedback generated through our services — for example, statistics about how types of photos perform on average. We may also use short, word-for-word excerpts of the written feedback reviewers leave on your rankings. We may use this material publicly, including in marketing, advertising, research, educational, and press materials, and we may share it with third parties. This material never includes your photos and never identifies you. We use an excerpt only where it neither names nor describes you or your photos in a way that could reasonably be traced back to you; where it would, we edit out the identifying detail or do not use the excerpt at all. If you would rather we did not use feedback from your rankings this way, email us at support@rankphotos.com and we will exclude your rankings.

We reserve the right to review, reject, or remove any submitted photos that violate these Terms or are deemed inappropriate at our sole discretion. Violations may also result in suspension or termination of your account. If you are unsure whether your photo complies with these guidelines, refrain from submitting it or contact us.
We use independent contractors, specifically participants engaged through Prolific ("Prolific participants"), to provide feedback on the photos you submit. By submitting photos to RankPhotos for ranking, you acknowledge and agree that the feedback process involves subcontracting to Prolific participants. This feedback is then processed through OpenAI's API, which analyzes and summarizes the responses before displaying them to you.
You consent to our use of these third-party services, including Prolific participants and OpenAI, to deliver the feedback functionality. These subcontractors operate independently of us and are not our employees. While we strive to ensure the quality and relevance of the feedback, we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or reliability, as the feedback may vary depending on the subjective opinions of Prolific participants and the AI-generated summaries from ChatGPT.
Your photos and the associated feedback are handled by these third-party services solely for the purpose of providing the ranking and feedback features. Each service has its own terms and policies, which are beyond our control. We assume no liability for any errors, omissions, or dissatisfaction you may experience regarding the feedback provided. The feedback is intended solely for informational purposes and should not be relied upon for any specific decision-making.
We reserve the right to modify the feedback process, including changing or discontinuing the use of specific third-party subcontractors, at any time and without prior notice. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should refrain from submitting photos for ranking.
The content on our website, including but not limited to texts, descriptions, photos, images, graphics, logos, icons, audio clips, video clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software is the property of Cupid, LLC or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws in the United States and other locations. You acknowledge and agree that we or our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to our website and related content, including all associated intellectual property rights.
You may not use our trademarks, service marks, and trade dress without our prior written consent, and you may not use them in connection with any product or service that we do not provide; or in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among our customers; or in any manner that disparages or discredits us.
